Senior Technical Consultant
Salary: $80-90K with total compensation between $110-125K.
Client is looking for 5 Senior Technical Consultants with 6+ years of experience in developing web-based software solutions in a consulting capacity. We're looking for someone that can develop quality software at a fast pace while following best practices and interact with a variety of clients on strategic, high-impact projects.
You should enjoy working with small, tight-knit teams of developers as well as enjoy using "the right tool for the right job": we're not tied to any specific technology, but rather use the best tools at hand. Should be a passionate developer with a broad range of programming skills, however you should have recent experience with the latest best of breed web-based technologies, especially in the areas of Web 2.0 (AJAX), RIA (Flash/Flex), Rapid Web Development frameworks (Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, Groovy/Grails) and Web Services (REST, SOAP). Should enjoy switching between various programming projects, ramping up quickly, regardless of the chosen technology, and delivering.
In addition, we're often faced with tasks that go beyond technical discipline, to involve much broader aspects of consulting. You should be well versed in project and client relationship management, project scoping and direct client interaction.
Responsibilities
. Design and develop scalable and reliable web application architectures subject to client technical requirements using best of breed technologies
. Provide recommendations on feature set and technical infrastructure for client projects
. User experience design, including wireframes, storyboards, and use cases is a plus
. Find opportunities to take advantage of existing platforms & communities to extend the reach of our clients
. Create detailed estimates, proposals, RFPs, project plans, etc.
. Reach "rock-star" status with clients through communication, risk handling, and great delivery
. On-site and off site client work and meetings
